For a home garage use, is there a great advantage to getting a full horizontal milling attachment for my bridgeport ? Basically, I'm wondering if the full set will sit around and rarely be used. I have a few projects that a right angle head would make them far simpler to do, so I know I will get one. But is it worth getting the full horizontal setup to go with it?

Thanks

If you ever plan on doing gears with your dividing head/rotary table you will find it handy. Tools need tools.

The right angle head is more versatile. less rigid. Take your choice.

Just remember with the horizontal you are going to need a large range of expensive cutters. Those old cutters are getting harder to find cheap.
