I am a newbie to machining, but I am excited to learn. I recently purchased a Logan model 200 off of craigslist and I am not sure what is the purpose for some of the tools are that came with it. The previous owner is now deceased and the guy who sold me the lathe had no idea.

I realize that 2 of these parts are chucks, but one has a gear on it and the other has a removable shank and serrated jaws.

Thanks

Left to right

1. Chuck off of a hand held drill.
2. Some arbor of some sort.
3. Chuck with unknown arbor
4. Manual tach

I have one of those tachs by Starrett that I picked up at a flea market. I totally forgot about it & it's been here sitting on my desk for a while. Never used though but it is cool.

tubalcain has a video showing how to use them.
