the only 2 real tips i can give you is to soak a cple of days prior to rebuilding and check the shaft play if there is any play at all it is very hard to set them:thinking:mac

woody

shaft play! ah ha!

i speet on loose shaft play!

now watch me end up with it!:)

are you sure you know which carb i mean?

Kohler carb and Walbro carb.

it might help if i had a pic, most are kinda built the same unless you get into the newer stuff then you got that smog crap on it, that bad when you got a catlectic converter on a lawn mower lol:biggrin:mac

mr woody

that is cutting it close about

difference between 'Kohler' and Walbro carb.

Kohler has high speed mixture jet on top.

Walbro is 'fixed jet'.

here are pic's.

alot of the walbro carbs were used on statinary engines , generetors pumps chippers but when they needed to have a throttle up throttle down the used the other like for tillers riding mowers now they did this in the earlier yrs so this dont always hold true in each one:biggrin:mac
