Hi Guys
I recently purchased an SX3 mill,upgrading from an x2 with which I built a5" gauge loco.
I am very pleased with the mill but I would like to know if anyone has built a motor assisted
ZAxis setup.I am not looking for CNC type control.Great machine but a dog to raise and lower
the head and only 200 mmQuill travel.I figured I needed to upgrade for my new project.
A scale Fowler A7 Traction Engine.Also any hints on the backlash problem,on the fine feed
when z axis engaged,it seems to be very touchy.
