I am looking for a decent protractor for my hobby shop. I don't really need anything super accurate, anything within 0.001" is my basic accuracy level for most things I do.
I am looking at two different styles of protractor and I don't know which one is best or what each is best for? I want to use it on my mill and small surface grinder.
Below are the two styles, don't get two involved in the brand, I just chose them as examples:

Universal Bevel Protractor Angular Dial 0 320 Degree Laser Engraving Scales New | eBay
360 Universal Bevel Dial Protractor 6" 12" Blades Satin | eBay
Thanks.

Regards.

I use the universal protractor in the second link. It is simple and quick to set up. I have had mine for many years now.

I also have the universal protractor like in your 2nd link. very versatile and works well.

I recently got one of those digital magnetic protractors too from a local HM member davidh which seems to be decent enough for some quick rough setup work, but for anything that would require more precision I would go with the universal protractor.
