I agree also. I did have a couple of engineers who liked to incorporate what I was working on in the shop with their breaks. It made things better for us in that things did change and I was careful to be respectful and not let 30yrs of "what were you guys thinking!" come out. We all had impossible jobs. They were only allowed to work in wireframe 2d on a 19" monitor. I don't care how much you blew it up I really don't know how you could keep track of everything. They were the only two who cared and wanted to do good work and we did some really good satisfying work together. It was a whole different experience from twisting a wrench wondering "how did they do this, build the car around it?"
