Hi, I spent some time cleaning up my back-up phase converter that I put together 20 years ago and a friend needs to borrow it. I bought a panel on line and used a 7.5 h.p. 220 single phase Imperial hydro pump motor. Thanks for looking.652EBCB9-5C3F-4D30-B9B0-F1FD2FD4FFE4.jpegF6CCEC77-B2E8-4EC3-B320-CA292B37B0B5.jpeg8E2E6B17-E3BA-44FF-AC5F-0AD6BC41F45E.jpeg79624B87-48A1-464A-A19E-57EA3D58F0DC.jpeg

That's very nice. Did you make the stand?

Hello and thanks for the reply. Yes I did make it using 2"x2"x.120 . Everything is mounted with isolators. In the vertical position the wheels are off the ground. The red run light is for when weather permitting I can put it outside for peace and quiet. Thanks again. Charlie. Nice truck

I know how the rotary phase converters work, employing a 3 phase motor. How do you set it up with a single phase motor?

No, it's a 208-220-440 wired 220 motor, not a 3 phase motor. Thanks.

Now I'm confused as usual . You made a converter from a single phase to 3 phase ? I'm looking to purchase a converter to power the shop and was looking at American Converters . This SES drives me nuts . ( SES = Secret Electrical S*** or stuff )

That looks great Charles . :encourage:
