I have 3 phase converters. 2 are homemade rotaries, and have 30 amp breakers in line to protect them and the machine. I just bought a 1 hp Bridgeport mill and got a static 1 to 1-1/2 hp converter with the mill. I use all 3 by plugging into my 50 amp welder plug. I’m wondering if the static converter has internal overload protection. I did not get documentation with this converter. Guess the next step is to run down the maker website.
