Finally actually made something for my shop instead of projects for outside the shop. Was a great Saturday project. Powder coated it with some left over black from my last project. Accommodations for 5" and 8". I went with this style so I can easily remove the indicators and use them elsewhere. I've been wanting to see how a powder coated finish holds up to machining from an end mill so I figured I'd try it on this. Tram.jpg

Another one of my curiosities was how strong a powder coated finish is. Since this part didn't have alot of surface area I decided to sand blast it again. If I had to guess, I would say a powder coated finish adheres about 10 times better than rattle can paint. The stuff is pretty tough. Since it was stripped I powder coated it again with illusion red. 2.jpg
