Non-NFA Muzzle Blast Shield Plans?

I have a store-bought non-NFA SureFire Warden Blast Shield 1/2x28 and am looking for plans to build such non-NFA devices for a 556 rifle. I figure to lathe the complete device rather than bend/weld metal. I’m envisioning the direct-thread mount and body would be drilled/turned from a solid rod section and a threaded end-cap with gas ports would be added. With no side ports or internal baffling, such designs are non-NFA devices.
