Nice job on the engine, Jim!
As for the photo orientation, try opening it with Paint if you have a Windows PC, make any corrections you need to, then save it with a new name. Then add that new photo to your post in place of the original. That is what I just did with your original:

It's an exotic called Zebra wood. Scraps left over from making a bar table.
