Good day all,
i would like to make new pins and bushings for the bucket of my payloader. Would I just use cold rolled steel bar and case harden them after they are turned?
Any input is appreciated,thanks

For a machine that can lift some real weight, no, don't do that... There are specifications for bucket pins and depending on which pin, it could range from 4140 alloy to various forms of tool steel -and all need to be professionally heat treated to the proper specification. A blowtorch and a bucket of cold water will get you nothing more than a potentially dangerous machine.
