Just got my new to me Machinist's Handbook - Eighteenth Edition today.
Ordered it Monday from Amazon at a Great price of $19.99
It's in like new shape.
Now I'll have some reading to do.
There is a lot of great stuff in the Machinerys Handbook!
i read it when i want to stay awake at night!
hopefully you haven't been bitten by the same bug i was bitten by.
i too started with one old book.
i now have a modest machinist library of nearly 30 old books and a stack of old machinist/shop magazines.
it becomes addictive for some...kinda like popcorn or potato chips- you can't stop at just 1.
The eighteenth edition is the one that I keep on the bench in the shop. I have an eighth edition that lives in the office and a 27th edition that sits in the tool box.
Anyone know what edition(s) were printed in the early 1950's? Since my machines are from '44 & '54 I think an edition from that era would be the most relevant.
Found another book that has the more current tables and info for my lathe.
The Atlas MOLO 20th Edition. In original box and almost new condition. $26.50
