Hi,

I am able to buy a lath "Master converter model C". I need to know more information about it. Any information is welcome. Especially I am looking for the instruction manual of this lath and prefarable electronically so it is easy to mail the document. I attached a picture of the one I can buy. I think looking into detail nothing is automatic, nore threads can be made.

I am looking forward for your information.

You should contact Brian at Versamil, he owns the Master Machine line also and may have some documentation for you. http://www.versamil.com/VersaMil1.html

That lathe looks like someone mounted a Master Machine head on the bed of a lathe. The lathe converter head is meant to be an attachment so you can do milling on a lathe.

OldMachinst,

Thanks very much, I think your right. I will contact Brian if he has some information, specially about the lathe. I found already some information about the attachment on that site. Based on your infomation I think that someone has desgned and made the lathe based on the converter itself. Hopefully he did a good job, because I already bought the lathe. Anyhow if not it will be a challenge to rebuild it to my needs. Again thanks very much.

I see welding on the bed. I think they built the bed to mount the head on. It's a Frankenlathe. Could be fun, though, if the price is right.
