SB9 accessories.jpg

Going through all the goodies that came with my circa 1962 (I think) SB9A, I found these. My first question is, is the 4-way tool post a worthy item? The lathe has the lantern tool post installed. (An aside: the graduated plate at the base is labeled "O.K. Rubber Welders", which was a nationwide tire recap service. No idea how or why it is associated with a lathe tool post.) The other two items are mysteries to me, because I am ignorant. Can anyone shed some light on these accessories? Thanks!

The back item is a boring bar holder that fits your 4 position tool post pictured.

Nice stuff. I would swap out the lantern holder in a heartbeat.

Cutting oil is my blood.

The tool post may have been used on a tire skimming machine hence the nameplate reference
Tires are/were sometimes skimmed true with a sharp tool after recapping if I recall correctly

Good catch, yes agree!
