Need to buy 30 taper. NST 7/24 Making sure NMTB is good.

Trying to read up on the 30 Taper options now that my Mill is home and tucked away. Was initially told that it was a 30 QC (Quick change) but then the YCM 30 manual notes that it is a 30 taper NST 7/24.

That's the set I bought for my mill. Seem, to be OK. In one picture of your new mill I thought it looked like you have a Kennametal quick change chuck.

Does your spindle nose look like this?



If so, you may have to machine some additional clearance at the flange on the tool holders.

30 taper is a lot more limited than 40 or 50. My mill uses 30 INT and I have learned that whenever I see anything in this size, I buy it wether I need it or not.

Eeeeyyyyouuuboy! I just a so many Q's- and not many answers. ;-( there is no spindle parts ... But, Here some shots of the drawbar top and the open spindle hole under another power-drawbar thread ... I missed asking is there was one on it when I bought the mill....email into formerowner.
