Mystery Mill(?) vs Lathe(?) attachement tool.

Hey all,

I found these being offered in a local auction. Any idea what they are? Labeled as tailstock mounts. But the attachment seems to be for dovetails, not traditional lathe ways. Interesting.

Anyone have any idea what these are actually called? And how they would be used?

@Nickm512 Thanks for the reply. All the supports I have seen before have mounted on two long round shafts. I think you are correct, I just have never seen them before.
