This is ready to ship. TDA-400/420 orders that are going into the mail this Monday will come with v3.2 firmware.
For stuff that's in the field, this will be available via OTA update, once I finish that infrastructure (in a few months).

The best part is that Mitutoyo scales don't need any special level shifters, etc. Just a cable adapter. (Mitutoyo sent me full spec for the protocol, and the TDA-4xx adapters are compatible.)

There are a few other additions to the firmware. Namely, it also supports BIN6 scales (Shahe and various Chinese calipers), has better brownout handling, and tachometer that can handle warp speeds (someone needed 200KHz, so it now handles that).

Yuriy, how good is that device? im thinking of replacing my factory dro with one on my grizzly.
 
I haven't used it in the shop yet. I'm going to try to install it on my new-ish PM-935 knee mill.
From what I can see, the readout is very stable and reliable. Mitutoyo implemented the output stage very well. It's an open-drain output, so it plays well with 5v sysetms.
One downside is that when the screen is off, the scale stops sending data. Also, it can't be powered over the wire, so you will be replacing the batteries from time to time.
Accuracy is very good. Not quite as good as glass scales (has a bit of cyclic error) but it's at least comparable to 5um EMS scales. I.e. much better than Chinese magnetic scales in that regard.
Although, for full disclosure: I'm checking these with quarter wave HeNe laser interferometer that can natively resolve down to 158.248 nm (roughly 1/8 of a micron). You'd be hard pressed to feel the differences in the shop.

I'm assuming you had to cut the cable? Where can I find the pinout?
