Milling with Lathe Attachment

My $0.02 worth is be aware of backlash and feed in a direction that "pulls" against it. Good advice has been presented here by highly qualified people, not many places that happens.

I have milled steel on a 9x20, admittedly not in a vertical slide attachment.
I was very pleasantly surprised with the finish.
