Another little PM935 mill upgrade that's been on the list for awhile. I wanted a fast travel stop nut that does not require a spring.

This nut is made from 303 and 360.

Looking from the north you can see the 1/2-20 threads and the brass set screw (3/8-24):

Looking from the south you can see that the 1/2-20 threads have been removed:

That looks great. What does the end of the brass set screw look like? the part that presses against the threads.
 
Thanks, are you not worried that it will damage the threads as it presses on them?

Brass set screw on steel quill stop rod threads will not be a problem.
