Have to agree. Hard to hold tolerances with mine as the quill seems to wander. Have to take very small cuts and watch the quill. I’ve been pondering a way to make a 2nd quill lock in addition to the factory one ( which doesn’t hold).
The only workable idea I’ve come up with so far, is a ring under the headstock that Locke the quill an prevents it from walking back up.
