Making a pallet for the mill for angles

I saw one of these in use.
Easy enough. Tomorrow I’ll drill and tap a bunch of 1/4 x 20 holes.
The fly cutter was awesome.

I made one but keep forgetting that i did LOL . I was planning on having a removable rectangle stock so I could bolt it on the bottom and use it in the mill vise as a flat mini pallet too

Is the clamping force on the round bar sufficient to hold against milling forces or do you use some kind of support on the outer edge as well?
