Making a lathe faceplate

The back plate is the weight after I finished turning it down. I didn't clean up the back because it amused me to leave it that way. The idea is that I could have easily made it into a face plate by turning the front flat and cleaning up the back . Then any necessary holes or slots could be drilled and milled into the plate.
