Hi all

I have an old set of T handle hex wrenches that i bought about 10-12 years ago. I love them but the ends are rounded and they are just worn out. I have ground them down several times but it is now about time to retire them. I have been looking for new ones but none that I have seen have the colored handles. Any one know who sells them? I saw some at HF a few years ago but they dont have them any longer.

Thanks
Earl

A real quick look at HF came up with the following sets. Looks like their SAE T-handles are gray, and the metric ones red. The combo set is ball ended, the individual SAE/metric sets appear to be plain ends.

As always, be cautious about quality. HF is sometimes a crapshoot.

Amazon lists various sets, including ball ended sets by Bondhus. Somewhat more expensive, but I've used that brand for years, and they're known good. SAE set is yellow, metric is red.

The old color coded ones from HF were suprisingly good for the $3 on sale price tag. I had a set for about 10 years. When the little one broke I decided to just go back and get another set only to find out that they were replaced with non color coded ones. The newer non color coded ones (like shown above) are junk. I don't know of a good set of color coded ones are, but my next set of t-handle Allen wrenches will be bondhus.

Thanks for all the responses. I do have other T handled hex wrenches as well as a Proto set that has screwdriver handles. I just find that the colored coded ones are handier., i.e., the green one is for my AXA tool holders, the Yellow one is for the BXA holders, etc. I did look on Ebay and found some junk ones but was hopijng that one you you folks had a decent set and could provide the source information. I may just end up getting some paint and color coding the ones that I have.

[SUP]I got a set of gold plated bondhaus allen wrenches for work and they are the best hex wrenches i have ever seen. I don't know if they make a t handle set but look into them I use them everyday and have yet to round the corners off on any of them. A good set used to last about a year until some needed replacing. You could always plasti dip them in color you want[/SUP]

I don't know about HF "T" handle wrenches. The junk ones for me were those that looked like a corkscrew when I finished with them. Working in a die repair department we routinely used regular allen wrenches and cheater pipes.

Might try these people, I don't know a good brand anymore, http://www.globalindustrial.com/searchResult?searchBox=&q=t+handle+hex+key, saw them on Google. Good luck in your search I know how frustrating it is.
