I read somewhere that to pull a stuck arbor, you find a length of pipe that has a hole size correct for the threads, and an OD to match or exceed the pipe OD that will slip loosely over the arbor, cut it to sit against the spindle front and reach to about 1/2" of the end of the arbor (leaving some threads exposed), slip a thick washer over the end of the arbor. Then you screw a nut onto the spindle so it pushes against the washer which pushes the pipe and turn the nut, possibly with an air impact.

Has anyone done this, and if so, can you show a photo of the process? Thanks!!

Blue Chips, you are right on! I had an ancient B&S #5 vertical that had a #11 B&S taper in the spindle and learned very quickly not to over-tighten it. Found a B&S collet chuck using #21 collets and just left it there.
