This is pretty simple but highly effective.
I ordered one of those ball bearing rings from China.




15" Plywood disc. Largest that would fit in the cabinet.



(1) 8" and (2) 6" chucks.




This turns very smoothly and works great. No more moving several heavy chucks to get to the one in the back.

The bearings seem strong enough. The capacity is rated at 120lbs. Have you seen these fail and how? I would certainly not use these for hubless motorcycle wheels!

I like that idea. The only way that I see that failing is a soft ball race and hardened balls. The ball race woud wear fast with the weight on it.

Billy that is exactly the way it look on the ones I have seen fail is that the race was soft letting the balls dig into it under weight.

Great idea. I've been wanting to do something similar in several areas of my shop.
