Lathe Newbie

The Accusize prices in the USA must be a lot better than in Canada. Here, they want $328 CAD+taxes+ $ 32 shipping charge for a total of $375 CAD for a AXA wedge toolpost, two regular 101 toolholders, a boring bar holder, a parting tool holder and a bump-style knurler.

It makes those eBay prices look very tempting! :)

Picked up a lathe for short money
I agree with buying what you need when you need it is good way to go.
Unless you have a a good budget/disposable income.

I have been buying tools I need to make parts for my lathe.
If I bought say a complete set of basic tap and die or reamers ( inexpensive options but for some even the inexpensive stuff is costly)
It can take months to save up some extra cash for something else.
