Can any one tell me what the letters EW stand for on a little old lathe I have just purchased. These letters are cast into the bed at the front on the left hand side. The lathe is at least 60 70 years old with a triple V belt pulley drive as opposed to flat and also has its own proper cross slide and lead screw drive gears. The machine is 2 feet long.
I look forward to any reply with thanks. This is my first posting on this very interesting site.

Kingmt01 is probably right. Hit Tony's site at www.lathes.co.uk and hit the link for EW or Express Works. Couple of pictures from Tony's site are below.

Hi Dudley,

Welcome to the site.

I am not sure when new folks can post pictures(you may need a few posts first), but if/when you are able to it would be very helpful for us to help you.
