I've seen these straight edges. Not Starrett or Brown Sharpe. But, certainly good enough for my needs. Please note that they are etched after grinding leaving a very slight tooth like finish on the bevel. This is easily removed with a fine stone.

I have been eying one of those on eBay, I sent David a PM this morning for pricing. I will probably get a 12" and either a 24" or 36" depending on pricing.
