Location is near Frederick, Maryland. This afternoon I am going to see a garage machine shop that belonged to the father who passed away 20 years ago and now the mom recently passed, so they need the garage cleaned out. I saw some pics from a friend who has been there and I spoke to the guy last night. They just want the stuff gone or it goes to the scrapper. I know he sold a metal planer for what I consider nothing...$150....and he was happy with that. What I see in the collection:
- 1880 line shaft New Haven lathe, probably 18" by either 6 or 8 feet. Not sure of accessories. Still on a line shaft.
- 1919ish Garvin 21 plain horizontal mill converted to electric motor. Not sure off tooling or accessories. Looks like he was using it like a surface grinder.
- A running shaper but not sure of make or size, but looks Atlas size. On a cabinet/stand.
- Die filer, not sure of make.
- Two small drill presses, like "sensitive" size. Unknown make.
- A large press
- Two model engine casting kits. Unknown make.
- Sterling power hack saw
- Misc stuff I can't identify
