[Newbie] Idler Pivot for Speedway Drilling and Milling Machine

I have never had to press them off. remove the circlip spray a little PB blaster and light tap with a soft head mallet.

Ok now i think I see the "mounting pin" part was not square when welded to the flat stock making it look like the leaning tower of Pisa!Is there a possibility you Could cut the Pin out by either grinding away the weld or cutting into the flat stock t slitting the flat stock down to the pin to help remove? Or maybe just cut it off all together and then just remake that "pin" portion with a long enough flat stock to reattach to the pully by welding or by drilling a few holes so you could bolt it together?

Yeah I'm getting some great ideas from here. I'll try again at sliding it apart and take the necessary measurements before remaking some pieces.

Thanks for the help, I'll give an update when it's back together.

I would think you could heat the pin end of the assembly with a propane torch and carefully bend it back to some semblance of straightness.
I'm sure it's soft Chinese steel, not too difficult to bend.
