I have a Atlas 10F clone (Sphere http://www.lathes.co.uk/atlas/page9.html)
I looking to find an alternative cross slide and compound from another machine of a more robust design and full length, that could be modified to fit.
Noteing the remarks in the above link, the Sphere has a wider dovetail, the dims being ' wider section of the dovetail was 2.96" across (Atlas about 2.15") and the narrower 2.66" (Atlas 1.83") '.
Any ideas what could be a lilkey candidate?
