I need to make this part in stainless and add a ball detent

I had a stainless adjustable wrench on my boat. Eventually it started to rust….

I can see the point of making a few for yourself or your buddies but having just completed a construction project I don’t see the average plumber keeping a screwdriver that long.

I do have a Klein 10 in 1 that’s starting to rust and it can be a pain to get the bits out so I get how it could be a problem.

But, it’s a pretty cheap tool….

Stainless is generally not going to be as hard/tuff as hardened carbon steel, so will likely strip out easily.
The stainless bits are probably for folks assembling reactor vessels or other exotics.
 
I would hope the reactor vessel folks ate smart enough NOT to use Phillips screws...
