Help with my drill press

I've also had good results straightening shafts to within a few thou in my hyd. press. Plenty good for a drill press, and you don't really have anything to loose
 
That is a good point. I have a 20 ton press, I’ll give it a shot and see what I come up with. I can’t make it any worse at this point
 
You’ll be surprised if done properly it doesn’t take much pressure. My 2tn arbor press was perfect because of the feedback you don’t get with hydraulic. Just take slow and a little at a time.

take your time and find exactly where the bend is. a lot of measuring and slow carefull rebending will get you good results.
