A friend of mine owns an orchard and has an electric pruning shears. It has a coiled cord that is rather unwieldy and keeps getting it in the shear and cutting it off. I have fixed the original twice and now he cut the new replacement. I told him to paint it red so it would be more visible but still manages to cut it off or damage it.

I have the idea to make a non coiled cord that would attach to his arm with a Velcro strap and then continue down to his back pocket where he puts the battery. What I need is to identify the 2 different connectors if possible so I can purchase them.
The metal nut on the one is ~15 mm id and the center section 12.6 mm.

The other is all plastic push to connect and the barrel is 17 mm.

Any help to ID these would be appreciated.

Don’t know what the second one is but the first one is commonly called an aviation connector.

The metal one is definitely this

But not sure on the plastic one. It appears there are only 2 wires hooked to the metal end (pruner end). And it does not look like there is a 3rd pin either. But I know there is a 3rd very small wire in the cord that I fixed. Don't know what it could be for.

The one with the nut is an import "standard" type traditionally used on CB radio microphones. Chinese call it a GX12 or GX16
The other push-on one I think is a custom OEM type? Does not look familiar- not an XLR

Cut off the old ones, and splice in. Mike

Yes, that's last resort

Those look like the connectors we used in the vibration analysis industry. You can get a custom cable made here if the connections are indeed the same and the wire is big enough for your current requirement. They even have armored cable perfect for your friend!

The connectors they use are Amphenol, the pictures are for a 2 pole mil standard connector.
