Hi, having issue with the step pulley on the main shaft seizing on when the back gear is engaged and pin disengaged, any suggestions?

Yes, after a lot of turning with the back gear engaged. Thinking it has gauled the shaft a bit. I can turn it in reverse with a large bar but very stiff.

I have the same machine with the spindle completely disassembled. Let me know if you'd like pics of anything.

Plese send pics. That was my next step but the manual is not clear on how to disassemble just has the exploded view.

Here’s the disassembled spindle.
I bought the lathe like this but all of the parts are there.

Thank you very much. Now I have an idea of what I need to do. Thinking mine has siezed on the brass bearing. A soak with penerating oil for a few days should help to loosen it up. What is the broken piece?

The folks I bought it from broke the counter shaft bracket when they were trying to change the belts.
Pressed the bearings out the wrong direction.
I’m making a new one.

Tks. I have seen some with segmented belts to solve the belt changing issue. I have used them on other machines and they work well.

Yep. I'll be doing that :)
