Most belts and discs that I have come across are for wood sanding it seems. They are brown in color with AO grit in the 35 to 220 range. There are also a few sizes and grits available in zirconia (blue ?) and ceramic (grey).
My question is what works best for grinding steel.
A main concern would be how long they last before wearing out. Is there any way to extend their useful life, such as applying a wax stick lubricant?
Lastly, what brands do you recommend? I hate it when the joint in a belt gives up before the belt is worn out.
Thanks for reading this far guys and gals. Mike
