Since the topic of removing broken taps comes up fairly often IMHO, I thought this video from "welding tips and tricks" would be worth pointing out.

This focuses on using a TIG welding rig, so that's a little exclusive, but what the heck, I thought it was interesting. I remember there's a stick specifically made for this purpose using the typical buzz box (flux protects the threads as you add fill to the broken part) but I can't think of the name. Luckily I haven't had to worry about it. Yet.
