Fixing an electric magnetic compound sine plate

So, an update! The Bridge-rectifier did it! Actually, you were both right, Mark and Jim. I wired a bridge-rectifier inline, and it still didn't really hold. I then swapped the wires again, and it worked perfect! I even used it on my surface grinder for its intended purpose: to grind thread-tools.

I was able to grind a HSS bit for 60 degree threads reasonably quickly and accurately, which was great! I really got this so I could do ACME threads for the dividing head project. The only mind-bending bit was trying to figure out how to grind both sides (since they are inverse), but switching the axes that were 'propped' did it!
