Hi all,

I seem to rescue engines from being thrown away...

This one arrived today and needed a new crank bushing to be made along with a bolt.
Easy!! Quick fix with the Myford!

The part that i am stuck on is the bit that opens and closes to either suck in or block the flame.

It is actuated by a lever arm with gears attached to it.

I am sure i will need to mess around with the timing but it should not be too hard.

Thinking of making it from some thin shim stock.
Just stumped as to how to attach it so that it still has a good seal.
Also what shape should it be?

Anyone seen one of these before?
If you do it's name would be very helpful as i could locate the plans and build it to spec!

Andrew
