It's been a year since I bought this 50mm facemill.

It's seen quite a bit of use, milling mostly 4140HT and hardened lathe tools.

I've been very happy with the performance of this cutter, but I've been absolutely astounded by the inserts that came with it.
I have yet to index them, still working on the first corner.

I'm so impressed that I ordered 2 more packs of the inserts and one of these, which uses the same ones.

Will report back once I've had a chance to test the cutter.

I would be interested in knowing how an Aluminum head works out.
I think I have that facemill as I have those inserts. I think it was based on your recommendation. I have not used it much, I should, been using the fly cutter... Do you run oil, mist, coolant, or dry?

I run dry, the pile of chips is enough to deal with.

Heck for 10 bucks I ordered one. :eagerness:

Yeah the face mill. I think I have a shank. I will have to check.
