Expanding Arbors

I discovered by accident that a local machine tool reseller right here in NH is making some expanding arbor sets for very reasonable prices. I stopped in there the other day and picked up their 8 piece set. They're not terribly special but are nicely machined, reasonably priced, and NOT Chinese, and it shows. I didn't think I needed them but they've already come in handy. I might ask him to make me a 5/16" arbor when I see him next.

The 5C versions were very nice and can be used in a blind hole in the work.

Yup I have those on my wish list. I heard someone say they were the original company to offer those. Not sure of the truth in that but at that great of a price and for US made why even consider buying an import set.

That's one great deal. If I set up to make those it would be twice the price and still would not make shop rate.
