Drill size for m10x1.25?

Hi,

I am making some new tierods for my atv, and need to know what size drill bit to use for an M10x1.25 tap. My research shows 11/32. I just want to verify before I purchase an incorrect size.

Yes 11/32 for the closest fractional or Letter R or 8.7mm.

On metric threads,if you subtract the second number from the first you will be very close. 10- 1.25 = 8.75 which is .344

This works on English too, if you subtract the lead. Example 3/8 by 16, subtract 1/16 to get 5/16 tap drill.
