Hey Guys,

Need a hand identifying the Darex Tool Sharpener in the photo. Also, a link to a manual, and if possible help identifying if anything is missing that I cannot create or easily replace. Plan to use it to sharpen endmills and milling cutters. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thanks a bunch,

Greg

I had one just like it; simple and easy to use, I never had a manual, it was instinctive to learn how it all works.I'd have to doubt that you would have any trouble locating a manual, Google it!

I have one like this, it's a Darex E90 as I recall. If it's the same as mine, the spindle is an air bearing...extremely smooth and accurate.

Thanks guys. Just trying to figure out if it is close to complete. Also, trying to verify the model number and manual to ensure it uses 5C collets.

Thanks again,

Greg

I have a Darex E90 that looks identical.
Darex had some manuals here:
https://darex.com/darex-user-guides/
go to the bottom of the page under "Discontinued Models" (see screen shot below).

In your picture, I do not see the stylus and bracket to support the end mill flute as you pull it back with the air-bearing.

Sometime ago I did contact Darex and they could supply some parts.
I also provided another member with some drawings/dimensions of various parts here:

EDIT: No wait, studying your photo closer the stylus is there.
I initially did not see it behind the lamp base.
I think my lamp mount is different......

Oh and yes, just standard 5C collets.

Brian,

Great information. I really appreciate it. I'll probably have LOTS more questions if the purchase goes through. Also, I had one more questions I PM'd to you.

Thanks again to all,

Greg
