Photo of my dad from the early 1960’s. He built an airplane in this one car garage so I should be fine for any project I want to do in mine. I still have most of the tools in the photo.

Actually looking close I have every tool there except the vise stand. Vise is mounted to the workbench he built now.

What a great picture! I see the makings of an instrument panel. Fantastic that you still have his tools. Bet he is still smiling and you are too

Did he fly the plane? That’s quite an undertaking!
Got me thinking, I have pictures of my dad, but none of him in his shop.

Wish I had the plane, it’s a Mustang II. AFAIK it’s still flying in Colorado, he had to sell it when my folks split up.

I did get to fly with him and run the radios when he got his instrument rating though.

Shoes I will never be able to fill….

When I was kid a neighbor built a Piper Cub in his garage. I have always been an aircraft nut since very little so watching him build that plane was magic. I think we moved right before he finished. Building a plane is quite a feat. That’s really cool you got to fly in it John and have all his tools.
