Cutting brass in a punch press

I've got a Unipunch corner notcher I run in mine that will cut a 5" notch and I cut 0.090" aluminum in it at full cut (10 linear inches) and the Bliss acts like it's not even there. I love a punch press I just wish I got more use out of it. Maybe I'm actually trying to find uses for it when something else is the better tool for the job :confused:.
 
I know the DIY angle makes buying things distasteful, but sometimes it just makes more sense. A quick look led me to a couple of sources of stamped out round blanks for $4-5.00 per dozen. Granted the ones that popped up first on a search were a little smaller and thinner than your specs, but if it were me, I'd see what was available before setting up to make them. It's more than likely to be cheaper than you could do it.

Just a suggestion.
