Copper Umbrella for the Stick Man

My wife wants an umbrella for the yard art stick man. This is to keep rain out of the bird feeder which will soon be hanging off one of the arms.
I think it's going to look really cool once it weathers. The crude amateur soldering is all mine :)
I'm thinking of ways to mount it. Shouldn't be too tough.
The brass top is threaded 5/16-18. I have 15 degree washers top and bottom.

I'm happy for any excuse to solder copper. Molten metal is neat.
 
Something that big you might be surprised how sturdy the mount would need to be as it looks like it will catch the wind. Is stick man up to it?

it’s pretty strong.

My neighbor decided it needs scalloped edges. Go for it Rico.

No kidding I bought several pieces/thickness a while back. I'm sure it's doubled since then.
 
If true – not a given – it's only because I've had so many disasters to learn from.
