Common receptacle used for mill and lathe. Plug is the disconnect. Also provides isolation for ground used for mill VFD.

I finally got sick and tired of plugging everything in in sthe same receptacle and hard wired everything; NO PLUGS!
I founf it really frustrating to go from one machine to another and have to go the plug- unplug-change every time to operate each machine. Granted it was worse for me, with 10 machines to deal with, although two were hard wired.
