About 50 years ago I picked up a nosepiece and draw bar with a box of collets that were all over the place. 1a, 3c, 3at and others that the labeling has long since worn off.. The draw bar and nosepiece are really well made. I just finished machining the draw bar to fit my new lathe. My problem is I do not know how to identify which collet the nosepiece is for, 3AT or 3C. How do I figure out which is the matching collet, given that the tapers are different on 3AT and 3C?
Someone already did the measurements for the Logan nosepieces (attached). Mine is not a Logan but it was easy to distinguish between 3AT and 3C.
