Cheap dial calipers.....

Who knows how many of the Mit calipers off e bay were fakes? speaking about the nibs being somehow wrong (not explained) about every caliper I have owned in the last (over 50) years, have read about .001 undersize; to make them read the same as OD measurements, I have had to stone the nibs off.
 
Like with any thing its often not the fall its the sudden stop….
I have broken my share of tools
Most come to a sudden death with a hard solid hit to a corner.
Like a bruce lee 2 finger punch….
Quick powerful Deadly….
